  63. ($) Options to change your present password or change your default file
  64.     transfer protocol setting.

  66. (*) Begin immediately with a global scan /read of new messages.

  68. (B) Bulletin listings.  List the bulletins available for viewing.

  70. (C) Enter a comment message to the sysop.  The message will be protected so
  71.     it is seen only by the sysop.

  73. (D) Open an Online program which may be a game or an application of some sort.

  75. (F) File transfer area. Archive manipulations, downloading, uploading, viewing
  76.     file directories, new file searches, text searches.

  78.     File Transfer Commands

  80.     (D) "Downloading" refers to moving files from this system to your system.

  82.         D POTATOES            ;d/l potatoes.zip (.ZIP is default
  83.                               ;extension.
  84.         D Z CCDOOR PDBASE.    ;d/l "ccdoor.zip" and "pdbase" ("." ONLY following
  85.                               ;a filename signifies NO file extension.

  87.    (F) File directory listings.  Lists the names of the files that
  88.        are available to you on the board for downloading.

  90.    (G) Goodbye -  Logs you off the system.

  92.    (J) Join a Conference for message functions.

  94.    (L) Immediately list the logged file directory number.

  96.    (N) New file  Scan (by mmddyy date).  Allows you to search the file
  97.        directory listings for either new files added to the system since the
  98.        last time you called, or for files added from a date which you specify.

  100.    (Q) Quit to the main bbs prompt.

  102.    (S) Search the directory listings for a text string. The names and file
  103.        descriptions are searched.
  104.  
  105.    (T) Type/read a text file in a directory you have access to
  106.  
  107.    (U) Upload files between your system and the bbs.

  109.    (V) View/extract zipfile contents.  List contents of zipfile and
  110.        optionally view the text files without downloading.  It is
  111.        also possible to  "extract" parts of a zipfile into
  112.        a scratch file for downloading.

  116.    New file search commands
  117.    ------------------------

  119.   'N S A' - Will search all directories for new files since last new files
  120.             search date.
  121.  
  122.   'N S U' - Will search the upload directory for new files since last new
  123.             files search date.
  124.  
  125.   'N S 3-9' - Will search directories 3-9 for new files since last new
  126.               files search date.

  128.   'N mmddyy A' - Will search for new files from the mmddyy specified in all
  129.                  directories
  130.  
  131.   'N mmddyy 3-9' - Will search directories 3-9 for new files since the date
  132.                    specified in mmddyy.

  134.   'S FNET A' - Will search all directories for 'FNET' in filenames and
  135.                descriptions.

  137.   'S FNET 3-9' - Will search directories 3-9 for 'FNET' in filenames and
  138.                    descriptions.

  140.   'S FNET 2 5 7 13' - Will search directories 2, 5, 7 and 13 for 'FNET' in

  143.    Main Menu Commands
  144.    ------------------

  147. (G) Goodbye! Logs you off the system.
  148.  
  149. (H) Displays this main menu Help file. Additional Help files are
  150.     available at the conference menu and file transfer menu.
  151.  
  152. (K) Hotkeys Toggle.Enable instant response on most commands.  Eliminates the
  153.     need to type RETURN to activate most commands. Command stacking is
  154.     disabled in hotkey mode.
  155.  
  156. (J) Join allows you to switch to a different conference. You may specify
  157.     either a conference number or a conference name.
  158.  
  159. (L) Toggle linefeed after a CR. This option is included for those using
  160.     computers which add a LF to a CR by default.
  161.  
  162. (N) This lists the status of the nodes.  It will inform you if another caller
  163.     is available for chat or not.  Note that the node chat will not be
  164.     internal until version 4.0 is completed.  Currently, a 'chat' door is
  165.     required for multi-node chat.
  166.  
  167. (O) Operator page. This selection allows you to try and page the sysop to come
  168.     chat with you.
  169.  
  170. (P) Page length. Sets the number of lines displayed before stopping with a
  171.     "More:" prompt.
  172.  
  173. (Q) Questionaires. Answer questionaires the sysop has available.
  174.  
  175. (S) Screen Color mode. Toggle between ansi color and no color.
  176.  
  177. (T) Today's Callers. List today's callers.
  178.  
  179. (TODAY) Display the 'today.txt' file.  Must be in non hotkey mode to use this
  180.         command.
  181.  
  182. (U) User listing. Displays all user's names and city/state.
  183.  
  184. (V) View your user statistics/settings.
  185.  
  186. (W) Welcome file. Read the welcome file again.

  188. (X) Xpert mode toggle. Selects expert or novice mode.
